GA Master Naturalist Program Information The first session starts March 15 from 4 to 7pm at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park. The eight field trips are approximately 6 hours and will begin between 8 to 10am and run until 3 or 4pm. The final session is on May 24 from 4 to 7pm. Participants are required to complete 48 hours to become certified. The field trips include an introduction to local habitats such as swamps, lakes, rivers, wetlands, forest, urban landscapes and the issues affecting them. Georgia Master Naturalists are encouraged to share their knowledge with their communities by volunteering with local schools and environmental education centers. Registration fees include all field trip fees, GA Master Naturalist registration fees including name tag and T-shirt, journaling supplies, and other related materials.
